Company History
Greg and Lisa Wood established Wood Real Estate in 2004 as a small family business specialising in residential sales and property management.
Greg Wood was inspired by his late grandfather, who owned and operated his own real estate business along the Hawkesbury River near Windsor west of Sydney. This family connection to real estate motivates and encourages him to strive for the best possible results for his clients and to ensure the team provides the very best service.
It was only fitting after specialising in residential sales and property management with a local firm for 6 years, studying at TAFE for 4 years to gain his full Real Estate License, that it was time once again to hang the shingle above the door with his name on it.
Wood Real Estate first opened in the City of Albury, located in Griffith Rd, Lavington. It soon became apparent that we were increasing our client base, expanding rapidly in sales and specialising in property management, that eventually we were forced to move to larger premises in our current location, 325A Urana Rd, Lavington (next to Westpac).
Training, keeping up with technology, adequate staff levels, customer service, clients re-using our services, referring others and employing the best marketing systems within our business has been a priority to become one of the leading agencies in the area.
We made a decision from day one to concentrate on one sector of our industry, residential, and to become extremely proficient and professional in our service. We are located on the bordering townships of Albury Wodonga, divided by the Mighty Murray River, but only specialise in NSW residential sales and property management. Another decision was to align ourselves with a national marketing group behind the scenes, so to provide our clients with one of Australia's best marketing software suites. This makes Wood Real Estate very competitive in the marketplace and gives our clients huge benefits when marketing, selling or managing their properties.
We are independently owned & operated and encourage all our clients to shop local and share profit locally so we all benefit in our beautiful twin cities. Our business is also very active members of the local chamber of Commerce network and current mentors to other local businesses. We are members of the Real Estate Institute of NSW and are constantly informed of new legislation, best practise and attend many training seminars to ensure we provide the right advice.
