Henty

A vibrant rural town to live that influenced the grain industry

Henty Field Days always comes to mind when you talk about this town. It is near exactly placed between Albury and Wagga. John Hudson is our real estate team member that sells houses and land in Henty. We have conducted auctions here with good attendance. If you are looking for a vibrant rural town to live, check out our houses for sale or property listings. Henty is about 45 minutes from Albury or 40 minutes to Wagga Wagga.

Henty is known as "The Home of the Header". In 1914 the Headlie Taylor Header created a revolution in agriculture and is widely regarded as the greatest single contribution to the development of the grain industry.

For over 40 years, the agri-business sector has been heading to the Henty Field Days. Today, the Henty Field Days site includes more than 18 permanent buildings. More than 50,000 people visit for the Henty Field Days during the third week in September.

The Henty Rotary Club has developed a former Government Dam into a Nature Reserve, which provides a home to a variety of aquatic species and birdlife as well as a picnic area.

Visit the shopping centre and collect your copy of the Henty Historic Village Walk to guide you through the places of interest. Allow yourself at least an hour to absorb the history of this unique town.
